Newcastle United Jets v Adelaide United

Lady Reds fans, your team need your support more than ever, as they travel to Wanderers Oval to take on the strong Newcastle Jets outfit!

New Year-s resolutions of Adelaide United players this year may have consisted of a similar goal, and that is for the team to claim its first Westfield League win of the 2010/11 season.

It-s been a tough journey for Mike Barnett and his Lady Reds, as they have fiercely competed in each match, yet have been starved of their fair share of luck.

It may be the consensus amongst all Westfield W-League fans alike that an Adelaide win would be greatly welcomed, given that this team deserves some reward for all the heart and effort being contributed into the Westfield W-League.

The Novocastrians may not be feeling the same compassion, though, as an Adelaide win will not assist them in their fight for a play-off spot!

Jets coach Wayne O-Sullivan will be calling on his ‘game changing- players Hayley Crawford, Thea Slatyer, Amber Neilson, Ali Lipsher, and Nicole Cross to take hold of this match and lead his team to victory.

The Jets may even require a touch of magic and re-enactment of the goals scored against Sydney earlier on in the season, and youngster Tara Andrews might just be the girl for the job.

This match-s winner is nowhere near decided; it would be a mistake to underestimate this desperate Lady Reds team as they have a point to prove and can only move up from where they stand!
