Westfield W-League 2014/15 Round 9 Review

Perth Glory extended their lead at the top of the Westfield W-League ladder to eight points following their eighth win in nine outings.

The Glory were forced to come from behind at home against Newcastle Jets, but were in front by half-time thanks to a Sam Kerr double on their way to a 4-2 win.

Second-placed Sydney FC slipped to another defeat, this time 3-0 against Canberra United as the team from the nation’s capital leapfrogged their rivals.

Champions Melbourne Victory moved third after returning to the winner’s circle with a 3-0 win at Western Sydney Wanderers.

Brisbane Roar also rediscovered their winning form with a confident 3-0 home victory over Adelaide United.
