Matildas Abroad 4th May

Kate Gill played the full 90 minutes for her side LDB Malmo as they drew 0-0 at home to Linkoping. The result against their mid-table opposition means that her side stay top of the Swedish Damallsvenskan table just one point against Goteborg FC.

Her side did lose their 100% record though and it-s the first time this season that they-ve failed to score in a match. Malmo-s goal difference remains an impressive +11 after they-ve conceded only one goal in five games so far.

Just over the sea from Sweden, Heather Garriock-s Fortuna Hjorring got back to winning ways with an emphatic 3-0 away win over Skovlunde. The result sees her side maintain their unbeaten league record this season to an impressive 17 matches.

Despite winning 15 of these their incredible form has almost been matched by second place Brondby who are just three points behind having lost one game so far this campaign.

The Danish Elitedivisionen leaders also have a goal difference of +66 and the race to the title seems to be a two horse race with the third placed side Skovbakken now 14 points adrift of the leaders after 17 games.

In the United States Women-s Professional Soccer League, Sarah Walsh-s Boston Breakers lost 2-0 at home to Chicago. The win was Chicago-s first of the season and leaves Boston with one win, one draw and two losses from four matches.

Lisa DeVanna played for 47 minutes as her Washington side won 3-1 at home against Saint Louis. The result puts her side in second place after four matches.
