Sydney FC coach Graham Arnold believes star midfielder Milos Ninkovic could be out for the season after Saturday’s loss to Phoenix, a display he described as ‘poor’ by his Sky Blues.
The boos rang out around Allianz after the Sky Blues conceded three times in a shambolic first half eventually losing 3-1 to Wellington at Allianz.

Arnold’s team are now in danger of missing the finals as they languish in seventh spot behind Perth Glory with four games.
“The first 30 minutes was poor and I don’t know where it came from which is the hardest thing and that’s what made it difficult for ourselves,” Arnold told reporters after the game.
“After that I thought we were the better side, we did well second half, but you can’t do that in the A-League.
“When it’s continually sloppy mistakes and individual errors it makes it tough.
“We’ve had six games in 20 days but that’s what you’re dealt and you have to get on with it.”
There’ll be much to ponder for Arnold and Sydney FC as they fly to Korea Republic on Sunday morning for their midweek ACL clash against Pohang Steelers.
And they’ll do that without Milos Ninkovic, who picked up an ankly injury in the first half and was forced off the pitch.
A downcast Arnold said: “It is probably season over for Ninko. We’re not having much luck.”
After their clash against the K-League outfit, Sydney FC are set to return home on Friday.
They’ll face Arnold’s old club Central Coast next Saturday in an absolute must-win.
