Daniel Elder will operate as fourth official and Andrej Giev as fifth official, whilst the video match officials team will be led by Kris Griffiths-Jones and supported by Kate Jacewicz and Kearney Robinson from Sydney.

Football Australia chief executive officer James Johnson has congratulated the selected officials, saying the occasion – set to take place in front of a strong AAMI Park crowd and broadcast live on Network 10 and Paramount+ – will serve as a career highlight not just for the players, but the referees involved.

“Grand Finals are significant occasions for players, coaches, and supporters, but they also represent career highlights for some of our most elite and dedicated match officials,” Johnson said in a statement from FA.

“The match officials that have been selected for this Saturday’s A-League Men’s Grand Final in Melbourne have worked hard this season to earn their appointments to one of the biggest fixtures on our domestic calendar. We congratulate them on their achievement and know that like both teams they will be giving their utmost on Saturday evening to play a role in a successful Grand Final.”

Referee Beath brandishes a red card at Sydney FC’s Luke Brattan in last season’s A-League Men’s Grand Final.

Whilst Beath prepares to officiate Saturday’s Grand Final, Alex King has been selected by FA to take charge of tonight’s friendly between the A-Leagues All Stars and FC Barcelona at Accor Stadium in Sydney.

King will be assisted by Owen Goldbrick and Andrew Lindsay, with Kurt Ams serving as fourth official.
