Kye Rowles departs Mariners to join former A-Leagues stars Atkinson and Devlin at Hearts

Central Coast Mariners defender Kye Rowles has secured a transfer to Scottish Premiership outfit Heart of Midlothian FC.

The newly-capped Socceroo issued a heartfelt farewell to the fans of the club he joined in 2017, where he became a key figure across five seasons, 104 matches and 8,959 minutes at the club.

Rowles will join Hearts on an undisclosed fee, subject to visa approval and international clearance.

The 23-year-old joins Australians and former A-Leagues stars Cam Devlin and Nathaniel Atkinson at the Scottish club.

“Five years in the football world is a long time and the Central Coast has turned into a second home for me,” Rowles said in a club statement.

“I’ll never forget the nights playing at Central Coast Stadium, from the palm trees, to the sauce bottles, to the band” Rowles added.

“I would really like to thank my family, my friends and the fans for their support over the years and I can’t wait to make you all proud.”
