Juric, inaugural signings lead five-player Bulls exodus

Former Socceroos striker Tomi Juric has bid farewell to Macarthur FC after just one season with the club, the announcement coming as part of a five-player departure from Campbelltown on Friday night.

Juric is joined by Aleksandar Jovanovic, Jordon Mutch, Antony Golec, and Apostolos Giannou in leaving the club, with new head coach Dwight Yorke guaranteed to bring a new-look Macarthur outfit to the Isuzu UTE A-League in 2022-23.

Juric joined from Adelaide United ahead of the last ALM campaign. After bagging nine goals in 18 appearances for the Reds in 2020-21, anticipation was rife ahead of the arrival of the 41-capped Socceroos forward in Campbelltown – but he made just eight league appearances in 2021-22, scoring a solitary goal.

Fellow fringe Socceroo Apostolos Giannou arrived in January as former head coach Ante Milicic attempted to bolster his attacking stocks. Giannou scored three goals in 20 league appearances for the Bulls this season.

Aleksandar Jovanovic and Antony Golec were two of Macarthur’s inaugural signings, but bid farewell to the club after two seasons whilst Jordon Mutch calls time on his Macarthur stint after just one season and 21 games.
