Newcastle Jets have today confirmed the signing of Melbourne Victory defender Daniel Georgievski on a two-year deal.
Georgievski, 29, has played for Victory since 2014 and will link with the Jets in June when the Club’s 2017 pre-season schedule commences.

While he was born in Blacktown and played some of his youth football in Australia, Georgievski’s professional career kicked off in Croatia. Between 2007 and 2014 Georgievski plied his trade in Europe, including with Romanian heavyweights Steaua Bucharest between 2012 and 2014.
During his time in the Romanian capital Georgievski played in the top club competition in the world – the UEFA Champions League. In the 2013/14 Champions League Group Stage he featured in matches against Chelsea FC (England), FC Basel (Switzerland), and FC Schalke 04 (Germany).
Georgievski won the Hyundai A-League 2014/15 Premiership, Hyundai A-League 2015 Championship, and 2015 Westfield FFA Cup during his time with Victory. And he could be set for further honours with the Club in the 2017 Hyundai A-League Finals Series.
A full Macedonian international, Georgievski will add much-needed experience to the Newcastle squad.
