If going by the comments of Westfield Young Matildas coach Alen Stajcic, one of the success stories of the inaugural season of the Westfield W-League was the emergence of several players that could well play a role for the team in a major way this season.

One of the players mentioned was Central Coast Mariners midfielder Trudy Camilleri, who wasn-t really under the radar for the team, but performed so well for the Mariners that her claims to be part of the Young Matildas squad could not be ignored.

From the western suburbs of Sydney, Camilleri played all 10 games for the Mariners and scored 3 goals as a centre midfielder, including a double in a memorable 6-0 win over Adelaide United.

That-s what the W-League is all about – discovering new talent and we find out a little more about Trudy in our feature series called ‘Get to Know You-.
