“Hey everyone,” Goodwin started by saying. “After much deliberation from myself and the club, I’ve decided to take up an overseas opportunity which will be lifechanging for myself and my family.

“I want to say thank you to the playing group and the coaching staff for everything you’ve done for me over the last couple of years.

“And then to the fans as well. I want to say a massive thank you for your support.

“It’s been incredible to play at Coopers Stadium, week in and week out with your support there.

“There’s been some truly memorable nights. I hope you can get behind the team and support the boys as I will be going forward.

“Hopefully it’s not the last that we will see of me at Adelaide United.

“Thank you.”
