Ben’s back! Halloran re-joins Adelaide

Adelaide United and Ben Halloran are back together after the Reds star returned to the Isuzu UTE A-League club.

Halloran is back at Coopers Stadium on a two-year deal following a brief stint in South Korea.

K League 1 outfit FC Seoul mutually terminated the contract of Halloran, who was limited to just 60 minutes of action after arriving for an undisclosed fee in January.

A two-time Australia Cup winner with Adelaide, Halloran returns to the Reds, where he scored 21 goals in 88 appearances across all competitions.

“Adelaide and South Australia has always held a special place in my heart ever since I first joined the club nearly four years ago,” Halloran said.

“When the opportunity arose to return and begin a new chapter with Adelaide United, my gut told me it was the right decision.

“I’ve experienced some unforgettable moments here and feel a special connection to the place.

“The team I’m returning to is full of quality players and people, and I’m confident we can compete for silverware.”

Adelaide head coach Carl Veart added: “We’re extremely delighted to have signed Ben for the next two seasons and be bringing him back to an environment where he has previously flourished tremendously.

“Ben brings enormous pedigree, experience, and composure in the final third and will also help our young players in their development.

“We know what Ben is capable of and the quality he gives us, but more importantly he’s a great person to have in the dressing room and around our club.”
